Introduction

TAURUS is a revolutionary Nematicide that offers long lasting protection against Root Knot nematodes. Nematodes attack the roots of host crop and multiplies very fast in favourable conditions resulting into formation of big knots on the roots. Amongst all nematodes seen in India, Root knot nematode is most prominently seen and causes substantial economic losses to the farmers.

Antidote

Treat symptomatically & supportively. Gastric lavage is not normally required. However, if a significant amount (more than a mouthful) has been ingested, administer activated charcoal and sodium sulfate. There is no specific antidote.

 Precautions

  • Keep away from food, drink & animal feeding stuff
  • Keep out of reach of children, uninformed person and animals
  • Do not inhale fumes or spray mist
  • Avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothing.
  • Remove soiled clothing immediately and was before reuse
  • Wash hand and entire body thoroughly with soap and water after the use
  • Wear personal protective equipment while handling the product
Mode of Action

The active ingredient fluopyrum selectively inhibits Complex II of the mitochondrial respiratory chain of nematodes. Following the application of Velum prime, nematodes cannot generate energy to sustain hence initially take on the shape of a needle, become immobile, and eventually die.
