Introduction

Provide is a herbicidal formulation containing 6% of Pyrithiobac sodium, 4% of Quizalofop ethyl with other relevant ingredients. It is used for control of broad spectrum of weeds in cotton.

Method of Application

  • Early Post-emergence: 3-5 days after sowing at 2-leaf stage of weeds(in assured soil moisture conditions).
  • Measure out requisite quantity of water. Add the remaining quantity of water as specified with thorough agitation. High volume sprayer viz.
  • Knapsack sprayer fitted with flat-fan/ flood jet nozzle is recommended

No specific antidote. Gastric lavage at an early stage is recommended. Treat symptomatically
Precautions

    • Keep away from food and feedstuff
    • Avoid contact with skin and eyes
    • Avoid inhalation of the spray mist
    • Wash thoroughly the contaminated clothes and parts of the body after spraying
    • Do not smoke, drink, eat and chew anything while spraying
Mode of Action

  • Early post-emergence and selective herbicide. It has a dual mode of action – It acts by inhibiting acetolactate synthase (ALS) and ACCase enzyme, thus ceasing cell division.
