Commercial Production

  • PI has fully integrated state of art manufacturing facilities spread over in Gujarat state at 3 different locations namely GIDC, Panoli-1 (90000 sq mts plot area ), Panoli-II ( 160000 sq mts plot area) and SEZ – Jambusar(JMB) (200000 sq mts plot area).
  • All plants at JMB are fully DCS automated plant latest technology of Foundation Fieldbus (FF) and Remote Input/Output (RIO). The installation of RIO which is a combination of Yokogawa, Japan and Turck, Germany at PI is the biggest in Asia at present.
  • This manufacturing site is accredited ISO 9001:2000 for quality management system, ISO 14001 for Environment Management System and OHSAS 18001 for Occupational Health and Safety System. Manufacturing sites have got various prestigious awards like Green Chemistry award, Golden peacock award on quality and safety, Green Excellence awards, Energy conservation award and many more from various governmental and independent bodies.
  • There is a commitment to provide highest priority to sustainable development. To fulfil this both sides ( JMB and PNL) have state of art environmental health and safety facilities and systems. The sites have no of installations like rotary kiln incinerators, Fume incinerator for off-gases incineration, MEE, ETP, STP, RO and scrubbers etc at relevant places to comply all environmental norms .
  • A dedicated R&D centre located at Udaipur, Rajasthan having recognised by department of Science and Technology-Government of India with all modern equipment and facilities provided continuous back-up to manufacturing site to add no of new molecules in product portfolio in each year.
  • Many multinational company across the globe (being a customer or potential customer ) regularly audited manufacturing facilities for QA and EHS systems.
  • Analytical Labs at process development centre and commercial plant are certified ISO 17025 and GLP for analytical abilities.

Equipment Capacity

List of major process capabilities are as follows:

  • Both PNL and JMB site has state of are hydrogenation facility with fully automated system having highest safety from its installation to operation. There are scope to run 8 nos hydrogenation reaction simultaneously which is one of the biggest installation in India.
  • Critical reactions like Grignard using Mg metal, Darzen Condensation using Na Metal, Cyanation using Sodium Cyanaide, Chlorination using chlorine liquid or by usage of reagent like Thionyl Chloride, Sulfuryl chloride, Dry HCl etc, Bromination in large capacities etc are run on regular basis in various plant with state of art technology maintaining highest standard of safety.
  • Alkylation using Isobutylene compressed gas from a dedicated storage facility runs both at JMB and PNL facility in complete automation mode.
  • Amination using liquid ammonia from dedicated storage tank runs at JMB using highest level of automation.
  • High pressure air oxidation and various catalytic reactions are carried out in many areas on a regular basis to produce newly patented molecule in manufacturing site.
