Introduction

PIILIN is a suspension concentrate contaning 5% (w/w) of activeingredient. It is a naturally ocurring biochemical fungicidal product and is effective against Powdery Mildew of Grape & Sheath Blight of Rice and Powdery Mildew of Chilli

Features & Benefits

  • PIILIN is a biochemically produced novel compound which inhibits chitin synthesis in the cell wall of powdery mildew fungus. 
  • It is the only fungicide to be included in FRAC- group 19, which minimizes the risk of resistance and cross resistance development. 
  • It is part of Annexure 5 of NRCG under the list of chemicals with CIB & RC label claim for use in grapes 
  • It is safe for natural enemies and environment. 
  • It is a globally approved biochemical pesticide. 
  • It can be included in organic farming practices. 
  • MRL is exempt in many countries around the world, with the exception of the EU, where it is being worked on.

Method of Application

    • Preventive application before the initial symptoms of disease observed and subsequent application at 10 days interval can be applied at vegetative and fruiting stages on recommended crops.
    • The product can be sprayed with all kind of high and low volume sprayers.
    • It can be applied by manual and tractor mounted sprayers equipped with hollow cone nozzle using sufficient quantity of water to ensure thorough coverage

No specific antidote is known. Treat symptomatically.

Precautions

  • Keep away from foodstuff containers and animal feed.
  • Avoid contact with mouth, eyes and skin.
  • Avoid inhalation of the spray mist.
  • Wash thoroughly the contaminated clothes and body parts after handling.
  • Do not eat,drink,smoke or chew anything while applying.
  • Use protective clothing which included long sleeed shirt and long pants, chemical resistant gloves, shoes, goggles and socks while applying.
  • It should not be used with bare hands and avoid contact with body parts
