Introduction

ROKET is a non-systemic insecticide having contact and stomach action. It is effective against several insect Target Pests (both chewing and sucking types).

Method of Application

  • Start application when the insect infestation reaches economic threshold level and repeat at an interval of 10-15 days depending upon environmental condition.
  • Water dilution depends on the type of spray pump and crop growth. Dosage also depends on the pest intensity and crop growth.
  • Stop last application 14 days before harvest of crop.

Antidote

  • Atropine in addition to oxime preparation such as toxogonin under medical supervision.
  • Inject 2 – 4 mg atropine sulphate (for children 0.5 to 2 mg) i/v or i/m every 5 – 10 minutes until signs of atropinisation occur.
  • The patient must remain atropine for a sufficient length of time (24 to 48 hrs.) to prevent subsequent poisoning due to delayed resorption.
Precautions

  • Do not spray against the wind direction.
  • Read & follow all instructions on the label & leaflet carefully.
  • Save the container with the label to show to the physician in case of accidental poisoning.
  • Do not smoke, eat or drink during application.
  • Wash hands and body thoroughly after spraying.
Mode of Action

  • Profenofos- Acetylcholine esterase inhibitor and causes hyperexcitation.
  • Cypermethrin- Sodium channel modulator. Keep sodium channels open thereby causing hyperexcitation and in some cases nerve block.
