Mode of Action 
 
FOSMITE® is a Acetylcholinesterase inhibitor, which is responsible for inhibition of enzyme Acetylcholinesterase resulting into blockage in the transmission of nerve impulses in insects and mites.
FOSMITE® formulations are applied on the foliage for effective control of mites, scales, aphids, thrips, leaf miners, beetles, lepidopterous larvae in tea, coffee, plantations, cotton, vegetables, ornamentals, citrus, vines and pome fruits etc.

Application
 
Dosage of FOSMITE® for effective control of suggested pests is 1.5-2.0 litres per hectare.

Available in 100 ml, 250 ml, 500 ml, 1 L, 5L, 25 L, 50 L and 200 L
 
Antidote
 
Give atropine sulphate 2 to 4 mg intravenously at 5 to 10 minutes interval until the patient recovers.

Administer 2 PAM 1 to 2 gm to be dissolved in 10 cc distil water and inject intravenously (very slowly) taking 10 to 15 minutes.
 
Precautions
 

  • Do not spray against the wind direction.
  • Always wear protective clothing while handling.
  • Do not smoke, eat or drink during application.
  • Wash hands and body thoroughly after spraying.
