Mr. SALIL SINGHAL, Chairman and Managing Director

He has been leading the Company since July 1979. Mr. Singhal is a highly reputed and known Agro Chemical Industry Leader and was the Chairman of the Pesticides Association of India (now Crop Care Federation of India) for 20 years. Members subsequently elected him as Chairman Emeritus.

His focus has been on developing an international outlook to the business with a strong focus on Research, Development and Innovations.

He was a member of the Executive Committee of FICCI as also Chairman of its Environment Committee for 5 years.

Subsequently, in the year 2008-09 he was the Chairman of Northern Region of CII which covers 9 Northern States/ Union Territories with 2200 members.  Then, he was the Chairman of the National Council for MSMEs in 2009-10.

Currently, he is Co-Chairman of CII National Council on Agriculture, and has been a member of the National Council of CII for the past 5 years.

He has been involved in many agricultural related policy issues, and has addressed many Seminars and Conferences both in India and abroad.

He is currently on the Boards of Wolkem India Ltd., Historic Resorts Hotels Pvt. Ltd., The Lake Palace Hotels and Motels Pvt. Ltd., Secure Meters Ltd., Somany Ceramics Ltd., PILL Finance & Investment Ltd., Usha Martin Ltd. and Secure International Holdings Pte. Ltd.

Mr. MAYANK SINGHAL, Managing Director and CEO

An Engineering Management Graduate from the UK, he joined PI in 1996. He was appointed as Joint Managing Director in 2004. Mr. Mayank Singhal was appointed as Managing Director and CEO of the Company with effect from  December 1, 2009.

He has worked at the Plant level for 2 years and has been responsible for the rapid growth and expansion of the Company’s manufacturing and marketing.

He is also a Director on the Boards of PI Life Science Research Ltd., PILL Finance and Investment Ltd. and Samaya Investment and Trading Pvt. Ltd. 

Mr. ANURAG SURANA, Whole-time Director

Joined PI Industries in 1995. He has handled the polymer compounding business and later he managed the entire manufacturing operations of the Company at Panoli. His current responsibilities are managing the company’s custom synthesis business and overseeing manufacturing operations and projects.

He is also a Director on the Boards of PI Life Science Research Ltd., PILL Finance and Investments Ltd. and WILL Investments Ltd.

Mr.P.N.SHAH, Director

The Past President of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), Mr. Shah is a partner of Shah & Co., a CA Firm. Mr Shah has an in-depth understanding of various Corporate and Taxation Laws.  His vast experience and expertise ensures Corporate Governance and Compliance.
Currently, he is also on the Board of Indo Count Industries Ltd., Secure Meters Ltd., Taparia Tools Ltd., Wolkem India Ltd. and Pranavaditya Spinning Mills Ltd.

Mr. NARAYAN K. SESHADRI, Director

A Chartered Accountant, he started his career with Arthur Anderson in the business consultancy area.  Subsequently, he joined KPMG and became the Managing Partner of the business advisory practice of the firm in India. His expertise is in the areas of strategy planning good management practices and financial engineering.

Mr. RAJ KAUL, Director

While he began his career with M/s. NELCO a TATA Company, he joined the agro chemical business world at Ciba India Ltd, and later moved to Bayer India now known as Bayer Crop Sciences where he was its Executive Director & CEO for their crop protection business.

He was later transferred to Bayer AG (Leverkusen, Germany) and headed M&A division of M/s. Bayer Crop Sciences.  Under his tenure, he concluded over 200 M&A transactions for Bayer Crop Sciences in the area of agro chemicals and Bio-technology, and brings his global knowledge and understanding of the agro chemical business to the Board.

Currently, he is also on the Board of Gowan Company, Yuma in Arizona (USA). 

Mr.RAHUL RAISUARNA, Director

Mr. Rahul Raisurana possesses a Masters Degree in International Management from Thunderbird School of Global Management, USA and also in Business Administration from Graduate School of Management, Clark University, USA. Mr. Raisurana is the Managing Director of Standard Chartered Private Equity Advisory (India) Limited. He has over 19 years of wide ranging international professional experience.

Mr. Raisurana is also on the Board of Man Infraconstruction Ltd. Privi Organics Ltd. and Bush Foods Overseas Pvt. Ltd. Mr. Raisurana holds position of an Investor Director on behalf of M/s Standard Chartered Private Equity (Mauritius) II Ltd.

Mr. BIMAL KISHORE RAIZADA, Director

Mr. Bimal Kishore Raizada is a Chartered Accountant from England and Wales and the Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, ICAI and a member of Board of Governors, Institute of Internal Auditors, New Delhi, and Treasurer of the Association of UK Chartered Accountants in India. Mr. Raizada has worked in various positions at Ranbaxy rising to become the Director in-charge of the Company’s clinical reference laboratory - Specialty Ranbaxy.
He was part of the Core team at Ranbaxy which saw rapid growth of Ranbaxy as India’s largest pharma Company with diverse businesses of drugs, custom synthesis, diagnostics etc.
He is also on the Board of Pinewood Diagnostic Ltd. (Formerly Ranbaxy Diagnostics Ltd.), BVI-HR Practice Pvt. Ltd., Insta Power Ltd., Associated Consultants Pvt. Ltd. and Zenotech Laboratories Ltd.

Mr.PRAVIN K. LAHERI, Director

Mr. Laheri (IAS Retd.) Gujarat cadre studied at St. Xavier’s College and Government Law College, Mumbai. Mr. Laheri joined Indian Railways in 1967 and Indian Administrative Services in 1969. He served in the Government of Gujarat in various capacities - District Development Officer (Jamnagar), Collector (Banaskantha), Director - Cottage Industries, Joint Secretary (Education Department), Industries Commissioner, Principal Secretary to Five Chief Ministers of Gujarat, Principal Secretary (Rural Development, Information etc.) and Chief Secretary. He also worked as Executive Director of National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) in Government of India. He was Chairman and Managing Director of Sardar Sarovar Narmada Nigam Limited.

Mr. Laheri is also on the Board of Torrent Energy Ltd., Gujarat Pipavav Port Ltd., New Light Hotels & Resorts Pvt. Ltd., Kelkar Leasing Pvt. Ltd., Amap Management Consultancy Pvt. Ltd. and Ambuja Cement Foundation (Section 25 Company).

Mrs.RAMNI NIRULA, Additional Director

Mrs. Ramni Nirula holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Delhi University. She was the Senior General Manager of ICICI Bank Ltd. and has more than three decades of experience in the financial sector, beginning her career with the ICICI  in 1976 in the project appraisal division. She held various leadership positions in areas of Project Financing, Strategy, Planning & Resources and Corporate Banking.

Mrs. Nirula was the Managing Director & CEO of ICICI Securities Ltd., and also headed the Corporate Banking Group of ICICI Bank.

Mrs. Nirula is also on the Board of Vardhaman Special Steels Ltd., Jubilant Food Works Ltd., Haldia Petrochemicals Ltd., Usha Martin Ltd. Utkarsh Microfinance Pvt. Ltd. and IKP Knowledge Park.
